Deffo Media were approached by Flux to create a series of educational videos focused on Oil Options, designed to provide a comprehensive introduction to options on oil futures, covering the theory, pricing and real-world application of financial options in commodity markets.
The course takes learners from the fundamentals of how options work as instruments of insurance and leverage, through to payoff structures, the mechanics of calls and puts, and key option combinations including collars, spreads and straddles. It then explores more advanced pricing theory, covering intrinsic and time value, the Black-76 model and the option Greeks (delta, gamma, theta and vega), with a focus on their practical application in portfolio risk management and hedging.
Our Objectives
Our objective was to take a substantial amount of complex financial information and data and transform it into a series of long-form educational videos that were both accessible and informative.
With topics ranging from introductory concepts to advanced pricing models, it was essential to present the information in a clear, engaging and digestible format, ensuring viewers could build their understanding as they progressed through the course.
