Deffo Media takes on digital partnership with World Triathlon during an Olympic year

Deffo Media is excited to announce its partnership with World Triathlon, taking control of its social media platforms as of April 2024. Additionally, Deffo Media will be overseeing video production at all World Triathlon Championship Series events, as well as some Para Series, World Cup and Multisport events.

World Triathlon is the international governing body for triathlon and all related multisport sports, globally. As an organisation, World Triathlon is committed to the development and promotion of triathlon, paratriathlon and multisports – something which Deffo Media is aligned with.

This comprehensive partnership will see Deffo Media manage a sweeping array of digital and social media design, production and support, as well as bolstering audience engagement and delivering high-calibre content marketing. As part of its wide-ranging remit, Deffo Media will aid World Triathlon’s media and marketing team and guide users towards its OTT streaming platform, TriathlonLive.tv, through a carefully curated selection of video and social media content.

On top of its primary focus, the partnership will also include work on wider projects, including World Triathlon’s upcoming documentary series, covering the buildup to the 2024 Olympic Games. With such a stellar selection of prestigious events on this year’s calendar, including World Triathlon Championship Series events in Yokohama, Cagliari, Hamburg, Weihai and Torremolinos-Andalucia, the collaboration couldn’t have come at a better time for either party.

Luke Howard, Founder and Director of Deffo Media, expressed his delight at the partnership, saying: “It is particularly exciting to be undertaking this new venture in an Olympic year where stakes are high and content is even more vital to the World Triathlon and Olympic movement. With a background in elite triathlon himself, Luke is keen to grow the sport further, widening its already-significant reach and encouraging as many people as possible to take it up. Not only that, Deffo Media is eager to capitalise on World Triathlon’s sustainability goals, as well as support athletes from across the world, with the help of the increasingly used digital environment.

For the sport of triathlon to continue on its upward trajectory, an invigorated, tenacious and wholly committed approach towards digital growth (and retention) is needed – something which Deffo Media is dedicated to achieving, maintaining and building upon in the coming years.
